BAKANITA to present dikir until end of May

Members of BAKANITA performing 'Dikir Maulud'

More than 80 members from the Women Welfare Bodies of Lambak Kanan National Housing Scheme (BAKANITA) Wednesday night performed the Dikir Maulud ceremony. It took place at the residence of the secretary of BAKANITA, Dayang Hajah Rosnah binti Haji Sidis.

Held in conjunction with the Maulud celebration, the programme was one of the many annual activities organised by the association, which aims to strengthen the unity amongst its members.

Also present was the advisor of BAKANITA, Dayang Hjh. Norbanun binti Haji Awang Ali.

Similar ceremonies will be held for 11 consecutive nights (from May 14-31) at the residence of its various members.

Earlier, members of BAKANITA were invited to perform "berdikir" at the Jame Asr' Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Istana Nurul Iman as well as at homes of fellow individuals.

BAKANITA currently has more than 100 members. The association actively organises activities, both locally and in neighbouring states.
