Short Term Sales Dip In Brunei Because of Pan Products Scare

Bandar Seri Begawan - Local pharmacies reported a short-term sales downturn following the recall of some non-essential health products manufactured by Pan Pharmaceuticals of Australia.

A leading pharmacy in the country, Guardian Pharmacy, told RTB that their business is affected temporarily. They are also now offering refund or exchange to customers who purchased the recalled products.

Interviewed by RTB, Mr Sanjay V. Deshmukh, a pharmacist at the Guardian Pharmacy, said that they had begun to withdraw the products from their shelves as soon as they learnt from the news last week.

The general public have been assured that no reports of serious adverse drug reactions associated with the recalled products have been received so far.

Members of the public who have purchased the 21st Century products have been advised to contact Hongkiat trading, the product local distributor for exchange of the products. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
