Tutong Mahad Islam Win Police Trophy 

Bandar Seri Begawan - Tutong's Mahad Islam emerged champion in the finals of the Football Championship among school police cadets.

The championship was to vie for the challenge trophy sponsored by the Commissioner of Police.

The Mahad Islam won the match after beating Saint Michael Secondary School 4-1.

The Police Commissioner Dato Haji Abdul Rahman presented prizes.

To date there are 1,300 school police cadets in 27 secondary schools and colleges throughout the sultanate.

Meanwhile in the Netball for Police Cadet Girls Team, Menglait Secondary School came out victorious.

The final match was between the Menglait School and the Awang Semaun Secondary School.

The champion beat their opponents by 18 goals to nil.

The sporting event was part of activities organised by the Royal Brunei Police Force with the cooperation of Ministry of Education.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police Pengiran Ahmad who gave the prize to the team himself contributed the winning team's coveted trophy.   -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
