Brunei's Big Book Sale A Big Success

Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei's Big Book Sale has been a big success. And the book sellers participation in the fair held at the International Convention Centre has helped drive in knowledge enhancement.

The Director of the Language and Literature Bureau Awang Haji Abdul Hakim made the remark at the closing ceremony of Brunei Book Fair on Saturday night.

Awang Haji Abdul Hakim said that while gaining profits from the sale of books, sellers could also extend their business contacts.

Participants of the book fair were also presented with certificates. Most of the booksellers expressed satisfaction with the response from the public, the environment they did their business in and the treatment given to them.

Some of them obtained thousands of dollars in profit. Apart from books, other items, which were also on sale include computers, there were priced between $700 and above.

The vendor said that some brands were popular with the customers than others. According to this bookseller from Singapore, they managed to sell most of the books they brought, which were small in quantity.
