Temburong's Tourist Delights Told
Temburong - The
Chairman of the Temburong Tourist Information Centre, Awang Matusin
bin Orang Kaya Sura Haji Tuba, revealed yesterday that a career in
tourism does not require high academic qualifications. But candidates
should be skilled in communication and prepared to work hard.
Temburong District has high potential
in eco-tourism and opportunities of employment in the sector are open
to youths interested in such careers.
Secondary students from 24 schools
who will leave school at the end of this year, heard a talk on career
that during the youths' info-programme session.
The tourism industry has potential in
boosting the economic sector and as such many countries in this region
advocate tourism as a major industry to raise their economic status.
Brunei attracts visitors worldwide.
Youths in the country are advised to take up a career in tourism if
they so wished.
Blessed with attractive geographical
setting, Temburong District is one with nature and is bestowed with
several natural parks.
Rubada, for example, is located about
20 kilometres from Pekan Bangar and the Wasai in Kampong Perdayan
which have been identified to be further developed into recreational
parks. --
