Another Police Raid On Foreign Workers Quarters

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Royal Brunei Police Force continues to keep a close watch on foreign workers to prevent crime. It is conducting surprise visits to various foreign quarters in the sultanate.

The latest operation dubbed "operation 12" was carried out on Thursday night by CID personnel of the Jerudong Police. Their targets were several workers quarters in Kampong Jerudong.

During the operation, which started at around 10pm, 18 Bangladeshis and five Filipinos were stopped for questioning. All were later released after producing their travel documents to the police officers.

The operation was the 12th of its kind to be carried out by the Royal Brunei Police Force in its fight against crime in the country.

Meanwhile, foreign workers in the country are once again reminded to bring along their identity cards, passports or related travel documents at all times.
