Acting Director of Information (standing) delivers his speech during
the opening of the Youth Info programme
The Government of His Majesty,
through various ministries and relevant government departments is
concerned towards youths and their affairs in all fields in an effort
to develop themselves and the nation. This was stated by the Acting
Director of Information, Awg Hj Bujang bin Hj Masu'ut, chief guest at
the official opening of the "Youth Info Programme" for the
Temburong District yesterday.
"Life in the Temburong district
is comfortable, with pleasant surroundings where people from different
races and cultural backgrounds live in unity", Awg Hj Bujang
said.
He also said that youths should
understand the limitations present in their lifestyle, which are
determined by rules and regulations as well as the 'Syarak' laws.
These limitations are meant to
smoothen the path in life in accordance to the Malay Islamic Monarchy
philosophy.
"National values should be
appreciated by youths such as loyalty to the Monarch, courtesy,
abiding by the law and 'Syarak' regulations that determine social
limitations among youths that are aimed at controlling attitudes and
sustaining pride."
He also called on youths to make full
use of the activities and programmes so that they could become
independent and well disciplined, enabling them to cope with the
challenges in life.
The programme, which was held at
Muafakat hall of the Temburong District Office, was carried-out with
the cooperation of the Temburong District Office, the Co-Curriculum
Department and the Youth and Sports Department.
