Enhance Brunei, Japan Ties

Begawan - Several initiatives have been planned and organised
to promote and enhance bilateral relationship in cultural,
educational, economic and technical areas between Brunei and Japan.
This was said by the Deputy Minister
of Foreign Affairs at the opening ceremony of Brunei-Japan Friendship
Art Exhibition held in Jerudong yesterday.
Pehin Dato Haji Mohammad Ali hopes
the Brunei-Japan Friendship Association will definitely bring both
parties much closer in strengthening their countries cultural
relationship.
The Brunei-Japan Friendship
Association organised the second Brunei-Japan Friendship Art
Exhibition.
It showcases nearly 100 paintings by
two Japanese artists, Mr Muroi and Ms Tini Miura as well as some 20
Bruneian artists.
The art exhibition, which is being
held at the Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong is open for
public view from 10am until 10am.
According to the President of
Brunei-Japan Friendship Association, Dato Haji Hamdillah said the
association was formed on the 14th of march 1985 with an objective to
promote and enhance educational, cultural, technical and economic
bilateral cooperation with Japan for the benefit and well being of
