Fifteen students from SOAS College
made their first study visit to IDBB to get a chance to expose
themselves to the real working conditions instead of just learning
from books. It is essential for them to get first hand knowledge and
learn from people from the banking sector itself. They were
accompanied by Cikgu Fauziah HAD.
Haji Sahroll bin Haji Mohd Roger from
the Business Development Division of IDBB gave a presentation on
IDBB's current products and services especially regarding the Al
Wadiah Education Account and Al Mudharabah Savings Account, as well as
a brief overview on the bank's latest product, 'Ar Rahnu Micro
Financing Scheme', which is a form of short-term borrowing based on
pawn item (gold) as the collateral.
At the same time students and
teachers were given the opportunity to ask questions regarding the
bank's role as well as regarding its products and services.
After the presentation at the BOD
Meeting room at the Head Office in Kiulap, all of the students
proceeded to the Ar Rahnu Financing Scheme Department to get some
ideas on the services provided, followed by a tour to the operation
side of the bank.
More and more students are getting
chances to join such study tours aimed at exposing them to the real
working environment and thus prepare them for their future as well as
to help them in their studies.
