Programme to assist unemployed youths

The Information Department of the Prime Minister's Office will organise an information programme for youths in the Temburong district. The programme will be carried out with the cooperation from the Temburong District Office, the Co-Curriculum Department and the Youth and Sports Department. It will be held for four days starting from May 8 till 11 at Muafakat hall of the Temburong District Office.

The youth info programme with the theme, "Knowledgible Youth, the Nation Prosper", aims at assisting the former students of secondary schools and other institutions of higher learning in the country who are currently unemployed.

It also aims at providing the youths with expertise training so that they could be independent and able to find appropriate jobs, be it in the government or in the private sector.

Throughout the programme, the participants will be exposed to several talks on various topics.

Among the topics to be presented are basics in writing and news and feature editing, photography technique and news and feature picture editing, identifying potentials on tourism career in Temburong, challenges and opportunities towards developing and empowering youth and business opportunities in the field of eco-tourism in Temburong.
