His Majesty Names Son-In-Law and Others As Key Privy Members

Bandar Seri Begawan – His Majesty has appointed thee new Privy Councillors the key body advising the ruler on the affairs of state. The new members include the ruler’s son-in-law, Permanent Secretary in the Foreign Ministry and the head of the Brunei Investment Agency.

An official statement said yesterday: “By the command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Dipertuan of Brunei Darussalam, it is announced that His Majesty has consented to appoint three members of the Privy Council in their personal capacity with effect from today.
