Brunei Airport running on empty
By Dk Suria Rina PHA

It's scene unimaginable but with many flights cancelled due to passengers curtailing travel for fear of SARS, the Brunei International Airport yesterday took on a deserted look (pic above).

With reduced passenger loads, national carrier RBA has had to cut back on flights (pic below).

Two flights to Singapore daily have been reduced to one. The flight to Hongkong was cancelled as the usual three flights a week have been cut to one -- or none at all the whole week. With the 'ghost town' scenario not sparing even Brunei airport, RBA will have to come up with ingenious ways to keep the carrier flying high.
