Blooks Sold Out In Current

Begawan - The book fair currently being held at the
international convention centre is receiving encouraging response from
the public.
Some of the books were sold out in
just a few days after the fair opened. About 60 percent of the books
on sale are religious books and about 30 percent are books on
education.
Other titles include politics,
cooking and novels.
Some of the books have been sold out
like hot cakes, including this one, entitled 'Siyarus Salikin'.
It has been reprinted a number of
times within the last 15 years and the last reprinted edition was
produced last year.
The book contains religious laws,
which was of great interest to most local readers. The third edition
of the book was sold out Sunday night.
Books considered as 'antiques' are
also available but only in limited numbers. One book is written in old
Jawi and is three hundred years old.
Although books on sale in this
country are tax-free, their prices are still being considered as
expensive.
These according to the vendors high
cost is because of transportation.
