Student receives education award

Tham Chee Hou from St John's School receives the award from the vice president of Great Eastern Life Brunei during the school assembly 

The latest recipient of the Great Eastern Life Education Award - an award given to motivate, encourage and inspire students to strive hard towards academic excellence despite financial limitation - is Tham Chee Hou from St John's School in Kuala Belait.

On Monday morning, he received the award from Mrs Helen Yeo, the vice president of Great Eastern Life Brunei at the school assembly, in the presence of the school principal Awg Zainal Abidin Bin Mahari, teachers, fellow students as well as his parents.

In his speech, the school principal expressed his gratitude towards Great Eastern for the award; he also encouraged students to excel in their studies as well as extra curricular activities.
