Promotional weekend sales at Hua Ho Dept Stores

In a bid to boost the country's economy, department stores and shops around the country are holding sales and have extended their business operating hours.

Recently, Hua Ho Department Store at its branches in Gadong, Kiulap and Kg Delima has been offering its food items and selected clothing on sale.

The branches close at 12 midnight, while others even at 1 am on Saturday.

The spokesman for the department store said that the sale was held to encourage more people to shop in Brunei, especially the locals. He added that the sale would be held again early every month on a Saturday.

The department stores were seen packed with bargain hunters and shoppers purchasing their everyday needs. Even the walkways outside the building itself, where they sold durians, clothing and other small items, were packed.
