Religious Affairs Minister visits KB mosques

The future generation and youths will face more challenges in view of the world's development in areas such as growth in Information Technology. With regard to the challenges, the youths who are expected to be future leaders need to contribute to the nation. They also need to prepare themselves to be more mentally, physically and emotionally strong.

In addition to that, youths are expected to have more knowledge in the areas of economics, fostering family ties and community.

The Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Dr Haji Md Zain bin Hj Serudin said that it was important for the Muslim community to be emotionally strong in their beliefs and faith to Allah and to avoid any deviation from the Islamic beliefs.

Dato Dr Haji Md Zain during his visit to the Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait on Friday night said that the community and neighbours need to strengthen their ties and respect to each other to develop a life in harmony regardless of religion, race and heritage.

The Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque was the last place that the minister visited in conjunction with his one-day working visit to all Kuala Belait mosques. The minister visited nine other mosques, which included Kg Labi Mosque, Al-Mashhor Mosque, Kg Sungai Mau Mosque, Kg Bukit Sawat Mosque, Kg Sungai Liang Mosque, Zainab Mosque, Kg Lumut Mosque, Pekan Seria Mosque, Kg Sungai Teraban Mosque and Kg Perpindahan Pandan Mosque.

Among the aims of the visit were to view closely the mosques' affairs, which included the administration and management of the mosques, maintenance of building and also to strengthen ties with the mosques' officers in Kuala Belait.
