French Impressions quartet at
Empire Theatre next Friday
The place to be next Friday is at the
Empire Theatre! Alliance Française, The Brunei Music Society, and
Baiduri Bank will be presenting the quartet "French
Impressions" in an evening of French music from 7.30 pm onwards.
The group comprises an international line up of musicians playing
flute, piano, double bass and drums. Their programme will include The
Jazz Suite by Claude Bolling (whose model and friend was Duke
Ellington), and works by Paul Agricol Genin, Claude Debussy and
Francis Poulenc.
Tickets are $35 (including
refreshments) and are on sale at The Mabohai Club and at Alliance
Française. For those who live out of town, look for the special
overnight deal offered by the Empire Hotel for concert-goers and make
an occasion of it.
Enjoy an evening of outstanding music
in the fine acoustics and ambience of the Empire Theatre. The concert
