Prophet Mohammad’s Birthday To Be Celebrated

Bandar Seri Begawan – The National Level Celebration of Maulidur Rasul or the birthday of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam will be observed simultaneously in all the four districts on the 14th of this month.

Last night saw the start of the nightly Dikir Maulud ceremony to mark the Prophet’s birthday anniversary celebration.

The highlight of the Dikir Maulud ceremony was focused at the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital.

It began with the mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Awang Yahya.

Meanwhile, mosque officials led the Dikir congregation. Senior government officials, representatives from Islamic banks, students and residents of nearby villages also joined the congregation.

Radio Television Brunei (RTB) telecast the function live.
