You don't have to go to Thailand to
sample Thai delicacies. Royal Brunei Catering with RBA, Standard
Chartered Bank and Traders Inn have invited three Thai chefs and a
Thai traditional dancer to Brunei so that Bruneians can get a taste of
the original hot and spicy Thai food.
Thai delicacies are always popular
among the locals in the Sultanate.
Spicy Tom Yam soup containing such
ingredients as deliciously prepared curry squid Thai style, and the
famous Pandan Chicken are among the dishes offered at the Thai Food
Promotion at the Airport Restaurant of Royal Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd.
The buffet promotion, which started
on 1st May and lasts until the end of this month, brings you the real
Thai flavour.
One of the invited chefs, Mr Kwanchai
Phongtjaisong is a prominent chef in Thailand, who has been in the
business for more than 10 years. He specialises in Eastern Thai food
and has participated in many promotions in the region.
His Prawn Tom Yam Soup will make
anyone yell for glasses of cold water and his sticky Mango Rice will
tame your heart.
Meanwhile, Chef Yuwadi Phansamdaeng
is the master chef of a leading cookery college in Thailand. As a
cooking instructor for 24 years, she is experienced in making hot
dishes and desserts like Takkor Sago (Thai mixed fruit sago), which
will quench your thirst and Voon Khob (Thai Longan Jelly) which will
satisfy anyone with a taste for sweets.
Another Thai chef, Ratikom
Pongsangsriya is on hand at the Fruits Corner where she showcases her
fruit and vegetable carving skills. Countries like India, Africa and
Dubai have already seen her unique skills.
While dining in the Airport
Restaurant from 1st-12th May, guests will be treated to traditional
Thai dances by Miss Jutapom Puttaoward, who is a professional cultural
dancer and a representative of Thailand Junior National Dancing Group
for cultural performance.
The daily buffet starts at 7 pm and
ends at 10 pm. To reserve or inquire about the buffet dinner, the
public can contact 2331853 or 2339207.
