St Andrew's greets founder's
daughter
By James Kon & Huraizah Ahmad

Mary Chong delivering a speech at the assembly hall
St Andrew's School yesterday morning
welcomed its founder Kenneth Paul Chong's daughter Mary Chong and her
daughter Stephanie in the assembly hall at the school premises.
Chong's
aim was to gain a better understanding of the school that was set up
by her late father.
Set up in 1957, the school has, over
the years, established itself as one of the best schools in the
capital. It now has more than 1,800 students.
During her speech, Chong said she was
delighted to find the school has grown over the years, given that St
Andrew's started out with some 50 students in a small building that is
now the church.
Mary Chong was accompanied by the
principal Jacob Chin as well as other associates during her tour
around the school.
