Army duo's robbery hearing tomorrow

The two Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel ordered to be remanded by Chief Magistrate Dk Rostaina two weeks ago for allegedly committing three gang robberies will again appear tomorrow (Monday) for a court hearing.

The two men, SLD 14603 Hj Abd Azis Hj Kadir and L/cpl 13552 Mohd Ariffin Mohammad, were remanded due to the initial investigations to be carried out by the police.

The two army men were caught on April 19. And no plea has been taken yet.

Both were charged with committing gang robbery using a knife on April 10 this year at about 11.20 am at Syarikat Mohd Nirwan, No: 60 in Kampong Pengkalan Batu.

They face a second charge of committing gang robbery using a knife on the same day at about 11.55 am at SPAJS Minimart in Kg Kulapis, an offence punishable under Section 398 of the Penal Code read with Section 34 of the same code.

And the last charge is committing a similar style robbery on April 18 at about 4:10 pm at Seri Trading Mini Mart Spg 220 in Kg Kapok.
