Year 11 students visit Crocodile beach
ISB students conducted fieldwork
investigations as part of their study programmes and exam courses.
Year 8 students visited Crocodile
Beach, conducted experiments, measured the speed and depth of the
river, and saw how beach material changed with distance from the sea.
The Year 9's, studying the world's
climate zones and how plants and animals have adapted to the climatic
factors, went off to Temburong, travelled up into the National park by
longboat and then climbed over 1200 steps to reach the canopy walkway
in the jungle.
They are presenting the information
and data collected from this trip as assessment work.
Year 10 students went to Tasek Lama
river to conduct experiments and collect data for a fieldwork report
for Geography. Meanwhile, the Year 11's visited Crocodile Beach for
their investigations.
Year 12 International Baccalaureate
students jetted off to Kota Kinabalu for three days to investigate
coastal management strategies, land use and associated problems in a
less developed city, and undertake environmental studies.
