Book Fair opens at International
Convention Centre

The Brunei Book Fair 2003 was
officially launched yesterday by the Permanent Secretary of the
Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Dani Hj
Ibrahim.
For the next 10 days, the Book Fair
is open to the public at the International Conference Centre (ICC)
from 8.30am until 10pm except on Fridays when the Book Fair will open
at 9am until 11.30am and will break for Friday prayers before
commencing again at 2.30pm until 10pm.
The Language and Literature Bureau of
the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports with the support of other
government departments and private sector organisations have once
again successfully launched an exhibition of books and other
publications. The Book Fair this year boasts local and overseas
participants.
Meanwhile, during the Book Fair, a
number of events have been scheduled which the public can take part
in.
The activities include quizzes, a
drawing workshop, story-telling competitions, musical competitions,
forums and much more to captivate visitors to the fair.
This year's book fair also showcases
16 new books published by the Language and Literature Bureau.
