Dikir Syarafil Held For Women In Villages

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Kampung Consultative Council has taken the initiative to set up Dikir Syarafil Annam classes for women in the village and the surrounding areas every Thursday and Friday night.

The Women's Bureau said Dikir should be instilled among the young generation and the young people, including children. They should practise it.

A total of 53 women from Kampung Selangan join the Dikir class which is opened every Thursday and Friday night at the village community hall.

According to the head of the Women's Bureau, the class, set up at the request of the residents, aims to teach them especially the women to learn how to perform the Dikir.

She said the class is also open to women in other villages in the district.

Meanwhile, the class has also gained support from youths around the village as the young people have been given opportunity to join the class and practise the Dikir since it was set up.  -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
