Bandar Seri
Begawan - The Brunei Religious Council yesterday turned over to
the widow the house key to her new house at Simpang 66 in Kampong
Bengkurong yesterday.
The new house was part of the
council's responsibility of providing a proper place to stay for those
who are entitled to receive aid from the tithe collection.
The widow, Dayang Hashah's dream to
have a comfortable home to live in became a reality when the key was
turned over to her.
The new house is not only important
to her but also to her two daughters who are still schooling at
primary and secondary levels.
Director of Mosques Affairs, Ministry
of Religious Affairs, Dato Awang Haji Rajid, presented the house key
to Dayang Hasnah.
The B$48,400 house is complete with

square metres has three bedrooms, one living room and other
facilities.
The construction of the house began
last December 19 on a 0.25 acre piece of land.
The house was built with funds from
the Brunei Darussalam Islamic Religious Council's tithe collection for
converts.
Dayang Hasnah, who is 41, said the
support from the Islamic Religious Council was very meaningful to her
and her two daughters. She was thankful for the council's attention
and good deeds.
