Three Local Drug Offenders Jailed, Six Others Fined In KB

Kuala Belait - The Kuala Belait Magistrate Court sentenced nine local men for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act yesterday.

The court sentenced Rosli bin Matamit, Mohammad Kamsani bin Haji Matbas and Awangku Nordin bin Pengiran Talip to Jail terms ranging from three years to four years for possessing or consuming 'Class A' drug methyl amphetamine.

The same court fined Dede Alhaiz bin Haji Osman, Mohamad Aminorashid bin Ismail and Aziz bin Haji Safar, $1,500 each or default three months imprisonment, Abby Rizal bin Haji Osman and Ade Irmanto bin Mat Zaini $3,000 each or six months in jail, and Zamari bin Amzah $3,800 or seven months imprisonment for consuming methyl amphetamine and 'Class B' drug codeine. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
