HSBC holds seminar on wealth
management for retirement

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking
Corporation Limited (HSBC) organised a Wealth Management seminar on
planning for eventual retirement, the second in a series of its
financial planning seminars, at the Orchid Garden Hotel in Berakas
last night.
Mr Marcus Hurry, the Chief Executive
Officer of HSBC, in his welcoming remarks said that the seminar was
organised as a result of comment, feedback and input provided by the
audience from the previous seminar.
He said that HSBC would make every
effort to enhance its relationship with customers. In this respect, he
said that HSBC presented the second seminar on Wealth Management for
eventual retirement.
"As investment climates change
and new investment products become available, we must continue to
deepen our knowledge of what the customers want," he said.
He believed that through such
activity, HSBC will respond to the trust that customers give and to
help to manage the customers' wealth with local knowledge and
integrity.
He was also delighted to welcome back
to Brunei and to reintroduce Martin Worley, the investment specialist
from HSBC Jersey, and Cecilia Kong, the Manager of Wealth Management
Centre in the capital.
Last night's seminar focused on
Investment Strategies to build wealth, the concept of Retirement
Planning and the investment opportunities with the products offered by
HSBC.
The presentation also covered topics
like the needs for retirement planning, investment as one of the tools
to accumulate wealth, outlook of the market and investment
opportunities available with HSBC.
About 200 people attended the event.
Members of the audience were given the opportunity to ask questions on
the various issues highlighted during the presentation.
