Dubious salesman irks housewife

Door-to-door product introduction is
definitely an effective marketing tool, especially when introducing
new brands or building up customer rapport. However reaching-out to
the customers on an emotional level by such salesmen can actually irk
housewives who have to entertain these "mobile sales
persons" when their husbands are at work.
At least one such salesperson has not
only irked a housewife but also annoyed her so much as the salesman
started to flirt with her, with an obviously twisted intention.
She said the salesman came knocking
and when she opened the door she found a person trying hard to make
her purchase an air filter.
"I did not let him come inside
the house because my husband is working so he decided to introduce the
product on the veranda.
"When I refused to buy he
started talking about Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and how
the product can cleanse the air inside my house.
"He then said it is advisable to
purchase because I may die from SARS and my husband would miss me
dearly if I die," she said.
