Alligator captured after stroll through New York city park

New York - A four-foot long alligator has been captured after being spotted in a park in New York city.

Police took an emergency call from people who had seen the animal in the park in the borough of Queens.

City park rangers and police were able to catch the alligator with a noose before taking it to a reptile specialist.

No one was injured by the reptile, which was captured peacefully, police said. They said they didn't know if the animal was a pet or had been living in a pond in the park. -- Annanova News
