Another Muslim Convert In Temburong

Bangar (Temburong) - An Iban Family in Kampong Biang Baru in the Temburong District has become the first non-Muslims from the kampong to embrace Islam.

The conversion ceremony for the family was held Wednesday night at their residence.

They are Awang Mambang Anak Saggau and Wife, Dayang Linggau Anak Ejang and their son, Awang Don.

They took the oath in the presence of the Director of the Islamic Dakwah Centre, Dato Awang Haji Adam.

According to Awang Mambang, he had intended to embrace Islam long before the Dakwah officers came to visit them and their presence boosted his desire to proceed with the conversion.

Four of Awang Mambang's eight children are already Muslims converts.
