Brunei Sultan Announces Changes In
Finance Ministry and BIA Posts

Begawan - The Brunei ruler has announced important changes in
the Finance Ministry and the Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) positions.
A press release from the Prime
Minister's Office said, "By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji
Hassanal Bolkiah Sultan of Brunei, the Prime Minister's Office hereby,
announces that His Majesty Sultan of Brunei Darussalam has consented
for Dato Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent
Secretary, Ministry of Finance, to attain full time as the Permanent
Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and to relinquish the post of
Acting Managing Director of Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) from today.
His Majesty has further consented for
Yang Mulia Dato Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim to remain as
a member of Brunei Investment Agency's Board of Directors.
With these changes, His Majesty has
consented to appoint, Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Senior Assistant
Managing Director of Brunei Investment Agency as the Acting Managing
Director of Brunei Investment Agency from today." -- Courtesy
