Jefri Bolkiah Technical College visits LTD

Director of LTD gives briefing to the students from the college

Schools and institutions around the country are frequently taking students on educational visits to various government departments as well as private institutions so that the students could increase their knowledge in an actual environment. A total of twenty graduating students from the Jefri Bolkiah Technical College visited the Land Transport Department (LTD) Headquarters at Jalan Beribi in the capital yesterday morning.

The Director of Land Transport Department, Haji Othman bin Haji Momin and a few senior officers briefed the students on the department's mission, organisation structure and so on.

Before the briefing, Haji Othman bin Haji Momin said that there are still career opportunities for those who would like to pursue a career in the department.

The objective of such visit by the school was to expose the students to the practical working environment so that they could learn on hand the operation and technical matter in the department.

It is hoped that the students might be able to take up a job at the department after familiarising themselves with the department's organisation structure and so on.
