A ceremony to officially launch the

Association is the first uniform activity formed at the school.
Twenty-five students of Sultan Bolkiah Vocational School were awarded
with certificates of appointments. Three officers of the Red Crescent
Association also had their ranks promoted from Cadet Officer to
Assistant Commander.
Present to handover certificates was
the Chief Guest, Pg Hj Metassan bin Pg Hj Jumat, the Assistant
Director of Curriculum Department, Ministry of Education.
The Chairman of the Red Crescent
Association, Cikgu Hj Masri bin Hj Ahad explained that the objectives
of the formation of Uniformed School Red Crescent Association were to
respond to the exclamation of the Ministry of Education in
diversifying the school activities as well as to provide awareness and
opportunity for school members to gain basic knowledge of emergency
help.
The Red Crescent Association with the
initiate of the school's principal, he added, had recently organised a
briefing on "Emergency Help" with help from the Medical Unit
of the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital. The series of briefings first
commenced in November last year and will draw to a close soon.
The briefing involves everyone - both
students and school staff - with the purpose of exposing the
importance of having basic life saving skills. This enables one to
attend to the needs of those who need it - both in and out of the
school vicinity.
