Outstanding A-Level students
praised

of Brunei Academic Research of Universiti Brunei Darussalam presents
an award to Nur Suria Amalia Awang Suut, one of the best A-Level exam
achievers. Students who performed outstand-ingly in their GCE A-Level
Examinations last November/December 2002 were awarded with
certificates yesterday during an 'Outstanding Academic Awards'
ceremony at the auditorium of DPMAMB College. The guest of honour at
the event was Prof Madya Dr. Haji Hashim bin Haji Abdul Hamid, the
Director of Brunei Academic Research of Universiti Brunei Darussalam,
who presented the certificates.
The ceremony first commenced with a
school prayer, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, college
and family songs.
There were also performances of 'Gulingtangan'
by college students.
The highlight of the ceremony was the
presentation of certificates to the 36 students who achieved excellent
results for their GCE 'A' Level Examinations. The outstanding students

The guest of honour congratulated all
students and reminded them that their achievement was "the
beginning to another step further in their studies". He also
presented inspirations and messages of guidance to the students -
focussing on gaining success in academic fields. The ceremony was also
attended by parents and guardians of students.
