UK's Top Universities Welcome Brunei Students

Bandar Seri Begawan - Local UK education specialist, James Hon Marketing, will be playing host to two of Britain's finest universities over the next week, where prospective students will be able to speak to representatives,

Visiting Brunei for the very first time will be Scotland's leading university for business and industry, Heriot-Watt University.

Named after two famous Scottish inventors, George Heriot and James Watt of Steam engine fame, HeriotWatt has a reputation for its innovative education, enterprise and leading edge research.

Founded in 1821, Heriot-Watt is the eighth oldest higher educational institution in the UK.

As a leading technology and business institution, Heriot-Watt offers a distinctive range of courses In science, engineering, design business and

Languages.In the recent Assessments Exercise',  Heriot-Watt was rated highly for Petroleum Engineering and Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics, as well as being the leafing institution in Scotland in Built Environment and Chemical Engineering.

Josephine Pilcher of Heriot-Watt University will be available to meet students at James Hon's office next Monday (March 23) and next Tuesday (March 24) between 2pm and 6pm.

It wills also he Dr Jonathan Richard's first visit to Brunei as the Head of International Office at Aberystwyth University.

Established in 1872, Aberystwyth was the first university institution in Wales. Among Aberystwyth's famous alumni includes HRH Prince of Wales, who is also the Chancellor of the University of Wales.

World leading research takes place at Aberystwyth and the university's research activities are rated second in Wales and 41st out of 119 in the UK. Among the leading departments are International Politics, Computer Science, Geography and Earth Sciences, as well as Theatre, Film and Television Studies.

Dr Richards will be available to meet with prospective students at James Hon's office next Wednesday (March 25) between 2pm and 6pm.
