Sayyidina Hasan Secondary School's Health Awareness Campaign, Parent-Teacher Meeting

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Sayyidina Hasan Secondary School recently held a health awareness campaign and a parent-teacher meeting. The campaign was organised by its Science Department's Health Promotion Committee as part of their all-year project to create more awareness on the subject.

The campaign was themed `Make Fruits Your Snack' and its activities included a free health check or consultation provided by Nicananth Health Care Services. In encouraging people to includemore fruits in their dietary intakes, fresh fruits were served, as well as bowls of free mashed potatoes sponsored by Ying Bee Co.

Meanwhile, more than 200 students and their parents or guardians attended the parent-teacher meeting held for those in Forms Three and Five. This event is held twice a year to keep parents informed of their children's academic progress and character development in school.

Teachers and parents may also exchange ideas and discuss ways of improving the concerned students' performances and potentials. The parent-teacher meeting for students of Forms One and Two were in fact held just last month. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
