New Coffeezone Branch In Kampong
Anggerek Desa
By James Kon
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Residents around the vicinity of Kampong Anggerek
Desa now have another place to enjoy coffee following the opening of
the new Coffeezone at the iCentre yesterday morning.
Located at the ICT incubation
project of the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), it is
Coffeezone's third branch in the Brunei Muara District.
In an interview with Mr Tan Chin
Soon, the co-owner of Coffeezone, he said, "We made the decision to
open a new Coffeezone branch here because we received an invitation
to open our cafe here and we also felt that this location is a good
place to expand our business."
Since the first Coffeezone branch
opened its doors in 1999, the cafe has become one of the favourite
places for a cup of coffee. Mr Tan said, "We are lucky to survive
until today, thanks to the support of our large customer base. Our
recipe for success is good services, good quality of food, good
public relations and good prices."
He also said, "One important point
is that Coffeezone has become one of the most popular and proper
hangout places for youth, diverting them from being involved in any
negative activities.
"I feel satisfied that after nine
years of running the business we employ some 30 local people in our
group and five of them are currently holding top positions," he
added.
On the future of Coffeezone, he
said, "Our next plan will be to open another branch in Kuala Belait
but there are no plans to expand abroad."
