4 Belait Youths To Showcase
Bruneian Culture In Maldives

Kuala Belait
- Four youths from the Belait District were sent to represent
Brunei Darussalam in the Commonwealth Youth Programme, in Male,
Maldives for a week, as part of the Commonwealth Day celebration.
Leading the Bruneian youth
contingent is Youth and Sport Department Youth Worker, Napisah Hj
Tamin.
"The youths from the Belait
District, namely, Magnum Wahab, Md Zazri Hj Mohammad, Halinda Hj
Rejee, and Nurul Husni Zaini, were choosen to participate in the
Commonwealth Youth Programme because they are active in youth
activities in the Belait District," said Napisah.
The Brunei Youth contingent will be
in the Maldives from March 8 to March 14, where they will take part
in various activities, such as cultural exchange and exhibitions.
It is a good exposure for the
participants, where they will be introduced to new cultures as well
as new perspectives in life. There, the participants will be able to
interact with other youths from other countries in the Commonwealth
and will be able to learn of their culture and traditions.
As part of the youth programme, the
youths will be involved in cultural performances and will showcase
