Crown Prince Presents States
Medals

Begawan – With the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang
Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the final group of State Medals
recipients were presented their respective medals yesterday.
Presenting the medals on behalf of
His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, The
Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.
Amongst those present at the Balai
Singgahsana Indra Kencana of Istana Nurul Iman, where the ceremony
took place, were YAM Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers,
LEGCO members, Deputy Ministers, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan,
Pehin-Pehin Manteri and Manteri-Manteri Pedalaman.
Also in attendance were Heads of
Diplomatic Corps as well as Permanent Secretaries and Department
Heads.
During yesterday's ceremony, over 600
recipients were awarded the "Pingat Bakti Laila Ikhlas" (PBLI), "Pingat
Jasa Kebaktian" (PJK), "Pingat Indah KeijaBaik" (PIKB) and "Pingat
Kerja Lama" (PKL).
Leading the list of medal recipients
was the sole recipient of "Pingat Bakti Laila Ikhlas", Pehin Orang
Kaya Pendekar Alam Senior Supt Awg Hj Hasrin Hj Sabtu, followed by 66
recipients of the "Pingat Jasa Kebaktian".
Recipients comprised government
officers from various departments. and ministries as well as uniformed
personnel.. To qualify for the awards, an individual must show
undivided loyalty to His Majesty, the country and religion.
Next in line was the presentation of
"Pingat Indah Kerja Baik", where 326 recipients were presented their
medals by HRH The Crown Prince. Recipients of this award must posses a
clean record with the government of His Majesty.
The final group of yesterday's medal
presentation were the 253 recipients of the "Pingat Kerja Lama".
Recipients of the "Pingat Kerja Lama" were civil servants who have
delivered 20 or more years of service.

Abdul Aziz, read a Doa Selamat, which also marked the closing of the
ceremony. --
