Malaysia Hosts World Gynaecology Congress

Bandar Seri Begawan - Participants from Brunei are expected to attend the 18th Figo World Congress of Gynaecology and Obstetrics to be hosted by Malaysia from November 5 to 10 next year.

Dr Abdul Aziz Yahya, the XVIII Figo (International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics) World Congress chairman, was quoted by Bernama as saying that "today between 8,000 and 12,000 participants from 135 countries are expected to attend the congress".

He said the triennial congress, one of the largest international events in Malaysian history, is to be held at the soon-to-be opened Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, which has world-class convention facilities. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
