SMMH Educational Day to motivate students

The Muda Hashim Secondary School (SMMH) in Tutong yesterday organised an educational day themed 'Globalisasi Ilmu Menjana Ke Arah Kehidupan Insan Yang Syumul.'

The event was aimed primarily to motivate students and increase their knowledge through various strategies.

Gracing the event as guest of honour was Pg Hj Idris bin Pg Hj Bakar (PM1) of the Secondary Section, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education. After delivering a speech, the guest of honour declared the event open.

In another speech, SMMH Principal Liew Yong Kim discussed the theme in detail and how the school operates to help students achieve good results.

The day included a 'guling tangan' performance by several teachers, 'sajak' presentation by both Mohd Ilhamuddin bin Hj Md Kashfi and Mohd Al-Nuzul bin Samsuddin, al-Quran recital by Mohd Khairul Hafeez bin Hj Gapor, presentation of certificates to ICT course participants, and presentation of prizes to the top students of 2004.

The most interesting part of the programme was the opening of the 'Brunei Corner,' 'Open Air Library/Study Hut' built by teachers, and a power point presentation - Integrating ICT Across the Curriculum - delivered by the teachers of each department.

The students benefited from the occasion, especially the mini exhibition.
