SCB Launches New Bank Services

Begawan - Standard Chartered Bank introduced two new services
at its branch in Gadong yesterday.
The Cash Deposit Machine and
eStatement Service are innovative products aimed at boosting customer
convenience.
Guest of honour, Awang Hj Ali bin
Apong, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, launched the
two services in a ceremony held at SCB, Wisma Hj Taha building in
Gadong.
Guests attending the launch included
senior government officials and the bank's valued customers.
Following the launch, the guest of
honour and other guests toured the bank's premises, where they
witnessed a demonstration on how to use the recently launched
eStatement Service kiosk.
Tailored to further enhance the
convenience of banking, SCB's eStatement kiosk was launched to provide
customers with an alternate means of accessing their monthly credit
card statements.
Customers are now able to get an
instant print out of their latest statement using the e-Statement
Service in Gadong.
They can now also receive and view
their monthly credit card statements electronically either from home,
in the office or even whilst travelling abroad.

The new Cash Deposit Machines is
simple and easy to use. It contains easy to follow instructions
similar to ATMs on how to use the automated transactional service.
Customers no longer need to queue up
to deposit cash into their accounts, pay SCB credit card bills and
other utility bills.
The machine allows them to do so in
less than five minutes with minimum effort outside of normal branch
operating hours.
Currently, the Cash Deposit Machines have been
installed at SCB's Main Office as well as Lambak, Gadong, Bunut, Kuala
Belait and Tutong outlets.
Also at the launch was Andy Ang,
General Manager, Shared Distribution and Wealth Management, SCB, who
said "Coupled with our existing cash dispensing ATMs and Cheque
Deposit Machines, the new Cash Deposit Machines fully automates the
whole range of transactional capabilities available to our valued
customers, making our transactional accounts one of the more
attractive and convenient in Brunei." --
