Thousands Troop To Brunei’s
Pavilion In Japan

Begawan - Brunei Darussalam is among 120 nations participating
in the World Expo.
The Brunei Darussalam Pavilion was
officially opened on March 23 by Awang Muhammad Alias bin Serbini¸
Brunei's Acting Ambassador to Japan.
Prior to the opening of the national
pavilion, a doa selamat recital was held.
In a press release yesterday, the
Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources said that Brunei's
participation in the World Expo received a rousing reception in the
build-up to the opening of the event.
Visitors to the Brunei Darussalam
Pavilion had reached in excess of 13,000 on March 18 and 19, during
the preview of the Aichi Expo 2005.
The Aichi World Expo 2005 represents
one of the biggest, grandest exhibitions currently taking places in
Aichi, Nagoya, Japan. It will run for six months from March 25 to
September 25.
The World Expo was officially opened
on March 24 by Emperor Akihito of Japan.
Over 2,500 guests attended the
opening.
A reception was also held later that
night.
Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan, who
is also the Aichi World Expo 2005 Honorary Chairman, hosted the dinner
reception. --
