Thai Supreme Commander In Brunei
On Official Trip

Begawan – The Supreme Commander of The Royal Thai Armed Forces
is on a three-day official visit to Brunei.
The visit is aimed at enhancing the
existing friendly relations and strengthening cooperation between the
armed forces of the two countries.
Military activities and discussions
have contributed significantly in establishing the importance and
priorities of the bilateral relationships.
YAM Pengiran Retired Major General
Pengiran Haji Ibnu Ba'asith, Deputy Minister of Defence, received a
courtesy call from General Chaisit Shinawatra, Thai Royal Armed Forces
Supreme Commander.
Arriving at the Ministry of Defence,
Bolkiah Garrison, General Chaisit Shinawatra received a guard of
honour by personnel of the First Battalion of The Royal Brunei Land
Forces.
Accompanying General Chaisit
Shinawatra is a nine-member delegation which includes Reungroj
Mahasaranond, Chairman of the Advisory Board; Air Chief Marshall
Yoothana Vaidecha, Deputy Chief of Joint Staff; Lieutenant General
Chayasit Linthong, Director General Directorate of Joint Intelligence;
and, Colonel Krisda Norapoompipat, Thailand Defence Attache Accredited
to Brunei Darussalam.
Earlier, the visiting Thai Armed
Forces Commander made a courtesy call on Pehin Major General Dato Haji
Awang Halbi, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
At the Ministry, General Chaisit
Shinawatra and delegation heard a briefing on the structure and
organisation of the Ministry of Defence and The Royal Brunei Armed
Forces.
General Chaisit Shinawatra arrived in
the country Monday for a three-day official visit.
