Kg Lambak Mosque holds Azan competition

The Kg Lambak Mosque committee held an Azan competition recently, which was open to all mosques and suraus in the Brunei Muara District.

The competition was divided into two categories: adults aged 40 years and above, and youths aged between 12 and 20 years.

The event was part of the mosque's activity and was held in conjunction with the 21st National Day celebrations, said the Chairman Imam Awg Haji Adfillah bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the organiser of the event.

Present as the guest of honour and to present the prizes to the winners was Pehin Dato Awg Haji Yussof bin Awg Haji Tahir.

Also in attendance were the mosque's committee and village locals.

The winner in the adult category was Haji Ismail bin Haji Ahmad from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, while Awg Hamzah bin Haji Jali from Kg Sungai Bunga Mosque won the youth category.

The ceremony ended with a 'doa selamat' by bilal Haji Mohd Ashraf bin Haji Bujang.
