The 'Hundred Beats Concert' that
emphasised on drum solos and supported by other musical instruments
held recently was a great success as large crowds were seen flocking
to the Colonnade of the Jerudong Park Playground to witness the
talents of local drummers.
Held for the very first time in
Brunei, the three-hour fiesta featured seven drum soloists who showed
off their drumming skills and amazed the crowds with their unique drum
solos and innovativeness.
They were Zam Flotzilla, Zul Aces,
Budy Krematory, Kamaloko, Fadzil@Disaster of H8, Paul of 'Not Famous'
and Adi 'WLK'.
The concert was organised by Urban
Touches Entertainment which is headed by Awangku Kamal and was also
co-organised by the main sponsor, Onas Musical Productions and
Studios, which is headed by Fadzil Osman.
Besides featuring some of Brunei's
best drummers in the Metal Music genre, two bands - 'Not Famous' and
3Belas(Tiga Belas) - as well as three DJs were also present to perform
at the concert to uplift the atmosphere. The invited DJs were Digital
H8 and Ghost of H8.
There was a special appearance that
night by Mr Santok Singh who played the beats to the 'Bongos'.
The organisers of the concert thanked
Guan Hock Lee Music Store and Asian Printers for their support and
Jerudong Park Management for making the event possible.
