Home Affairs 77 Dominate Civil
Service Golf Tournament

Begawan - The Ministry of Home Affairs proved that they are the
top team when it comes to golf among the government ministries after
they grabbed the winners' trophy for the team and individual events in
the 5th Inter-Ministry Civil Service Day Golf Championship held at the
Royal Brunei Golf, Jerudong Park and Country Club yesterday afternoon.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince
Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah consented to present the prizes
to the winners of the annual golf tournament, which was organised in
conjunction with the Civil Service Day celebration.
With the top three places, the
Ministry of Home Affairs took a clean sweep in the individual event.
Haji Raya bin Dollah was crowned the winner with a total of 42 points,
followed closely in second place by Dato Paduka Haji Idris bin Haji
Belaman with 40 points, while third was Haji Gapar Bin Haji Abdullah
with 39 points.
In the team event, the trophy went to
the Ministry of Home Affairs team of Haji Raya bin Dollah, Date Paduka
Haji Idris bin Haji Belaman, Dato Paduka Hj Adrian bin Haji Hanafiah,
AwangAli bin Haji Rashid andAwang Seruji bin Haji Setia.
Second place went to the team from
Ministry of Education which comprised Awang Ajmain bin Haji Othman,
Haji Patera bin Haji Madil, Dato Dr. Haji Abd hatif, Abd Kadir bin Abd
Ghani andAwang Koh Hong Puah.
Third place was occupied by Ministry
of Development's team of Haji Gapar bin Haji Abdullah, Awang Han Kiem
Kwang, Haji Metassan bin Bali Mohd Daud, Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gapar
and Abd Hamid binAbdullah.
In Division A Handicap 0 to 8, Awang
Ali bin Haji Rashid of the Ministry of Home Affairs went home with the
winner's trophy, followed by Awang Seruji bin Haji Setia of the
Ministry of Home Affairs in second and Abd Kadir bin Abd Ghani of
Ministry of Education in third.
Division B Handicap 10 to 18 saw Haji
Abd Razak Bin Haji Anggas of Prime Minister's Office take the first
spot, while Date Paduka HajiAdnan bin Haji Hanafiah of Ministry of
Home Affairs grabbed the second place and Awang Han Kiem Kwang of
Ministry of Development was third.
For Division C Handicap 19 to 24 Dato
Paduka Haji Abd Rahman bin Haji Mohiddin from the Ministry of
Religious Affairs clinched the first place, followed by Ajamain bin
Haji Othman of Minsitry of Education in second and Aani Julaihi of
Ministry of Finance in third. --
