30 Receive Certificates At Golf And Leadership Course

Bandar Seri Begawan - A three-day course on Corporate Golf and the Game of Leadership ended with the presentation of certificates to 30 participants at the Asean EC Management Centre yesterday afternoon.

Presenting the certificates to the participants was the guest of honour, Haji Saifon Bin Awang Hj Besar, the Director General of Public Services Department.

Present at the ceremony was Awang Abdul Ghani, the Director of Asean EC Management Centre.

Corporate Golf and the Game of Leadership uses a six step M.A.S.T.E.R plan to ensure that the subject of leadership is fully explored in a multi-sensory, multiintelligence way and in techniques used to lock it all down.

Apart from classroom discussions, participants took part in corporate golf activities, driving range and short game activities and a 9-hole tournament format.

The three invited lecturers were Mokthar Ismail, a professional golfer with more than 15 years of experience in golf and motivational training, James C Nolan and Johari Ismail, who possess vast experience in leadership training. They shared their knowledge and experience with the participants.

The course aimed to acquire attitude, skills and knowledge required to become great leaders and team players in their chosen field, understand the need to identify and capitalise on their strengths to acknowledge weaknesses and neutralise them.

It is also designed for participants to learn and appreciate the need to nurture and develop a harmonious environment at home and in workplace by internalising the core values that form the organisation's guideline principles. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
