30 Students Tour Malay Technology Museum
By James Kon

Bandar Seri Begawan - Thirty members of the Youth Librarian Association (Persatuan Perpustakaan Muda Mudi) made a school holiday visit to the Malay Technology Museum on Jalan Kota Batu yesterday morning.

Accompanying the students were five Language and Literature Bureau officials.

The museum was established in 1988 to document and exhibit indigenous technologies like cottage and handicraft for the benefit of future generations.

The students toured the museum's Water Village Traditional House Gallery, Water Village Traditional Technology Gallery and Inland Traditional Technology Gallery.

Students were fascinated with the architectural structure of houses in the water village dating back to the late 19th century.

They took a closer look at the handicraft and cottage industries at the Water Village Traditional Technology Gallery. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
