By CT Hj Mahmod
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Years of dedicated hard work paid off for some 13
Immigration officers when they received their insignias yesterday to
mark their promotion.
The officers were reminded that with
their promotion, they would also face more responsibilities.
Zainal
Abidin bin Dato Paduka Hj Ahmad, Acting Director of Immigration and
National Registration, urged the promoted officers to be honest,
responsible and committed to their work of conduct.
He then presented the officers their
insignias.
Four immigration officers were
promoted to Chief Immigration Officers while nine were promoted to
Senior Immigration Officers at yesterday's ceremony held at the
Immigration and National Registration building.
Those promoted to Chief Immigration
Officers had some 25 years of immigration work- related experience
whereas those promoted to Senior Immigration Officers had 15 years of
experience under their belt prior to their promotion.
The Acting Director further urged the
promoted officers to use this experience as a source of reference when
seeking to improvise and innovate themselves.
He also urged the officers to
maintain a positive mindset.
With the promotions, he hoped that
the officers would continue to display high discipline, integrity, and
a winning attitude, as well as to use their experience and knowledge
as a gateway to acquire new information.
Zainal
Abidin added that he was confident the promoted officers would make
perfect role models for officers under their supervision. --
